Harald Bodøgaard's work reflects his close ties to a traditional appreciation of sculpture as a physical work; his creations demonstrate weight and mass but with a poetical motif. Iron and granite are the commonest materials in his work, to which he typically ascribes such titles as "Autumn Song". The matter-of-factness in his monumental approach is obvious and he no doubt sees the sculpturer as a direct agent in the creation of our physical environment.
